Celtro Demonstrates IP/MPLS Environment

TEL AVIV, February 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Celtro, the leading supplier of innovative mobile backhaul switching solutions, today announced that it successfully completed multi-vendor interoperability tests performed at the independent European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC). In the course of the testing, Celtro's DMT1000 and DMT4000 were found to be interoperable with other leading vendor equipment in an IP/MPLS mobile backhaul network scenario.

Tested together in a live network which consisted of more than 75 different devices over a two-week hot staging period at EANTC's lab in Berlin, Germany last month, Celtro's DynaMate(TM) mobile switching solutions were rigorously tested for:

- Synchronization - Maintaining precise clock synchronization in packet-based network. Celtro's DynaMate solutions successfully completed the precision time (IEEE 1588v2) and Synchronous Ethernet tests, and are viable for mobile base station and Node B synchronization.

- PWE Based on T-LDP Signaling -DynaMate solutions successfully demonstrated interoperability with ATM (RFC 4717), and TDM (RFC 5086) PWE using the LDP/T-LDP signaling protocol.

"We were honored to participate in the interoperability tests, and for the opportunity of demonstrating Celtro's IP/MPLS functionality and interoperability," said Ariel Shuper, Senior Director and Head of Product Management and Strategy at Celtro. "By testing the interoperability of multi vendors, EANTC is furthering the adoption of IP/MPLS solutions in mobile backhaul networks - which is good for both vendors and operators," he concluded.

"We were pleased to include Celtro's DynaMate solutions in the IP/MPLS backhaul network testing," noted Carsten Rossenhoevel, Managing Director at EANTC. "Adoption of standards by vendors like Celtro is key to growing the IP/MPLS industry as a whole," he continued.

Celtro has already deployed its IP/MPLS solutions in select leading mobile operators, converging both 2G and 3G/HSPA traffic.
